10 good reasons for introducing bicycling as a sport in secondary schools:
The hurdles preventing institutions from introducing "bicycling" as a program, are:
- lack of the "sport of bicycling" knowledge and training,
- good low cost bicycle equipment and
- understanding a school site or park is the perfect place to conduct YES programs.
A special thank you to the Los Angeles County Metropolitian Transportation Authority and the City of Los Angeles for funding the pilot program.
