Traffic Safety CITY (Creative Interactive Traffic for Youth)
You have to see it to believe how effective this program is for elementary age children to understand how they are to behave walking/bicycling to and from school. The Traffic Safety CITY is the best methodology for teaching the abstract concept called "traffic". A 100% hands-on education program where children practice traffic safety while walking on realistic sidewalks and crossing streets; in the safety of the multi-purpose room, auditorium or gym. Traffic streets scenarios/hazards plaguing your community are brought to the youth in a safe environment. Like a theatrical stage setting, using real photographs of the children's community, they are transported into their streets with familiar landmarks.
YES, Inc. will come to your community and take photographs of your community landmarks for the CITY walls that the children will recognize; a local elementary school, fire station, police station, neighborhood, City Hall and more. The street will be designed to challenge the children with their community obstacles such as rails, trains, no sidewalks, multiple lane streets, etc.

What school administrators say about the Traffic Safety CITY program:
“It showed exactly what to do to be safe. The pictures and signs really helped explain everything. The presenters were very professional and helpful. They [the students] responded well to the stop signs and looking in all directions before crossing.” - Charles Carr, Assistant Principal, 95th Street Elementary School
“Effective, traffic signals-very familiar, they [the presenters] talked about safety first then modeled it. They [the students] loved the cars. Great! Refreshingly different. Everything was age-appropriate. No confusion, everything was perfect.” - Elise Ungerleider, Coordinator, Canfield Elementary School
“It was informational and kid friendly. The backdrop and props as well as the interactions and questioning were beneficial. They [the students] enjoyed walking through the ‘streets’ and each participating physically and verbally.” - Traci Fenn, 2nd Grade Teacher, Ranchito Elementary School
“Well-organized and motivating for students. Student participation in discussions and actual role playing was very helpful. Visual representations of traffic helped all learners access this program. They were able to have their questions addressed by the presenters.” - Royce Goldman, Principal, El Oro Way Elementary School
