YES-BIKE Secondary Curriculum
YES-BIKE Program for secondary Physical Education Departments is a 3 to 4 week curriculum introducing the competitive “sport of bicycling”; bicycle traffic safety; encouraging bicycling to schools; being green and promoting a new youth fad. Secondary physical education professionals (Coaches) will be trained in sport appropriate physiology, kinesiology and skills building ideal for introducing bicycling, a life sport, to their students. YES, Inc. provides physical education professional training and low cost bicycle equipment. Youth Educational Sports, Inc. (YES, Inc.) will individually create a program to meet your school needs and help you bring the sport of bicycling to your school.
YES, Inc. secondary physical education curriculum for schools to implement a 3 to 4 week class to learning and maintaining physical fitness strategies by improving health and performance includes basic knowledge of psychological and sociological concepts, bicycle motor skills, principles and strategies applied to competition will all be covered.
Content of YES-BIKE Physical Education Program:
A. YES BIKE Curriculum – Components of the Professional Development Training addresses specific content standards required by the Overarching Physical Education Standards for 6th through 10th grades. The curriculum is outline in detail in over 50 pages, recommended 1 per instructor.
B. Professional Development Training: 6 - ½ days and/or 4 - full days.
C. Team Teaching Consultants provided by National/International Coaches, two time Olympian and physical education teacher.
D. Bicycling Equipment (YES, Inc. provides low cost equipment as an authorized school districts vendor):
Total cost for all content is negotiable within reason. YES, Inc. will provide a free demonstration for teachers and/or students.
