Youth Traffic Safety Class - Court Approved Materials

Youth Traffic Safety Class (YTSC) - Citation Diversion Program for youth traffic violators (non-vehicular) to satisfy the courts requirements with a 4 hour class. The violators are referred by the courts for youth ages 9-17 and the parent/guardian to attend the class. Youth are referred by the courts and law enforcement for bicycle, helmet, scooter, j-walking, pedestrian, skateboard, fare evasion and more violations. The class material includes the most common California Vehicle Code violations and local city municipal violations. YES, Inc. will provide instructor training and instructor certification and annually updated materials.

YTSC Workbooks

The class materials are customized to include the local traffic city municipal codes that youth violate the most. Law enforcement agencies who want a citation diversion program that is educational rather then punitive, enjoy teaching the classes. The program also trains the trainers and provides updated materials based on the state and municipal codes.

After the initial creation of the custom designed class materials, YES, Inc. will provide annual updated class materials with the new vehicle and municipal codes that apply. All class materials are provided in English and Spanish. YES, Inc. will also provide training and certification for instructors. Re-certification annually to keep instructors current on all the new laws and annually updated materials.

Class instructor training is only 6 hours to receive the YTSC Certification and an annual re-certification required to keep current.
